Quadran-led EolMed a consortium comprising Senvion, Ideol and Bouygues Batiment International, is developing the Gruissan floating offshore wind farm off the coast of Languedoc-Roussillon in France.
The project involves the construction of wind turbine platforms, a powerhouse, a substation, a control room and related infrastructure, the installation of four 6.2M152 wind turbines, generators and related equipment, and the laying of transmission lines.
In July 2016, the developer contract was awarded to the Quadran-led EolMed consortium comprising Senvion, Ideol and Bouygues Travaux Publics.
Senvion will supply four of its 6.2M152 turbines.
Ideol will supply the foundation work package in partnership with Bouygues Batiment International.
AXYS Technologies, Inc was appointed to design and supply contractor.
The construction is expected to be commenced in early 2018 and will be completed by 2020.
