Mercian Developments Ltd (MDL) a part of the Merbuild (Holdings) Group of companies in association with LondonMetric Property Plc (LMP) is planning to undertake the construction of a mixed-use project in Cornwall, the UK.

The project involves the construction of housing and shopping complex on a 40ha of land.

The project will include construction of 400 houses, of which 120 would be affordable for local families, a 10,219m2 food store, 8,361m2 non-food retail stores, a hotel and a restaurant, a supermarket, a petrol station, parking space and related facilities.

CSA Architects was appointed as an architect. The developer has secured the funding for the project.

In January 2014, Cornwall Council's strategic planning committee has rejected the original plans.

In December 2016, Hydrock is undertaking traffic study on the site.

Planning activities are underway.


The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities on a 40ha of land at Coyte Farm site in St Austell, Cornwall, the UK.
