Maury County School District (MCSD) is undertaking the construction of a high school in Tennessee, the US.
The project involves the construction of a central high school and will be developed in two phases.
First phase includes the construction of 43 classrooms, 10 science rooms, two special education classrooms, a criminal justice lab, clinical health and cosmetology, additional classrooms for construction and agriculture labs, marketing and music, 697m2 for administration space.
The second phase includes 2,000-seat main gymnasium, a 300-seat auxiliary gymnasium, a 900-seat auditorium, 831m2 of library or media space, 766m2 of cafeteria space, parking and related facilities.
SSOE Group (SSOE) has been appointed as architect.
In March 2013, SSOE presented the initial design plans to Maury County Council (MCC).
In June 2014, MCSD secured US$2 million for the design phase.
SSOE presented the final concept plans to MCC in November 2014.
In December 2014, Hewlett-Spencer LLC (HS) and Bell & Associates Construction (BAC) has been appointed as contractors to build the proposed facility.
In February 2015, MCSD was in process of validating the project cost.
On April 20, 2015, the project secured funding approval from the Maury County Council.
In May 2015, construction works commenced.
In July 2016, construction works on the first phase completed.
Construction works on the second phase are underway and scheduled to be completed by December 2017.
