Melco Crown Entertainment (MCE) is undertaking the construction of a 40-story hotel tower in Cotai, Macau.
Crown Resorts holds a 33.6% equity interest in Melco Crown Entertainment (MCE), a joint venture between Crown and Melco International Development Limited.
The project involves the construction of 780 guestrooms on a 150,000m2 gross floor area. It includes the construction of suites, sky villas, meeting and event rooms, gaming rooms, lobby atrium, restaurants, spa, sky pool and related facilities.
The cost has been increased from US$700 million to US$1,000 million.
Zaha Hadid Architects was selected as the architect. BuroHappold Engineering is the structural engineer and J. Roger Preston Group won the Mechanical & Electrical Engineer contract. Dragages Hong Kong Limited has been appointed as the main contractor.
Forsspec Global (Aeight Pacific Corp)has been appointed as a technical consultant and provide Building Information Modeling services.
Construction activities are underway on the project.
