London Resort Company Holdings Ltd (LRCH) is planning to construct an entertainment complex in North Kent, the UK.

The project involves the construction of an entertainment resort and theme park on a 353ha area. It will include the construction of a 2,000-seat theater with regular ‘West End Quality’ shows, indoor event space, 11,000m2 of exhibition space, a range of hotels with a combined of 5,000 on-site bedrooms, an art-house style cinema and nightclub, 15,000m2 of food and beverage outlets and retail, indoor water parks, business space, new dual carriageway access road between A2 and resort, public footpaths, cycle routes, 14,000 car park spaces, and the installation of waste management and power generation facilities, and emergency and security systems.

LRCH has signed an agreement with the licensing unit of Viacom Inc. (VIAB)’s Paramount Pictures for using its brand for the resort.

The following consultants have been appointed; Savills for planning and EIA coordination, Bircham Dyson Bell Legal for legal advisory; Farrells for master planning, Ray Hole Architects for core facilities and FaulknerBrowns Architects for conceptual design architecture; PWC for socio-economic effects; WSP for transport and access; Chris Blandford Associates for Landscape and visual effects and ecology; Buro Happold for air quality, noise, water resource management, energy and waste; Atkins for soil and ground conditions; Wessex Archaeology for cultural heritage.

First stage of public consultation was completed in July 2014 and second stage in November 2014.

In January 2015, Lafarge Tarmac signed a ‘Binding Option Agreement’ with LRCH to sell land required for the delivery of the project.

Stage three of public consultation was completed in February/March 2015 and stages four in April/May 2015.

In June 2015, Kleinwort Benson Bank was appointed as sole financial adviser to LRCH and will oversee debt and equity fundraising to finance the project.

The project is being financed by Kuwait's Al-Humaidi family.

In June 2016, LRCH decided to conduct fifth stage of public consultation before the submission of planning application in 2017.

Construction work is scheduled to commence in 2019 with completion slated in 2022.
