The London Borough of Camden (LBoC) is undertaking the Agar Grove Estate Redevelopment project in London, the UK.

The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities over an area of 25,600m2. It includes the construction of 493 affordable homes, 216 new council rented homes and 37 new shared ownership homes, retail unit, recreational facilities, and parking and related facilities and installation of elevators, safety and security systems.

The project will be implemented in six phases.

First Phase:

This phase includes the construction of Block A with 38 residential units. These residential units will be built after the demolition of existing four residential units (Broadstone).

Second phase:

This phase includes the construction of Block F, G and H with 57 residential units. These residential units will be built after the demolition of existing 32 residential units on Manstone, 9 residential units on Sherbone and 3 residential units on Sturminster.

Third Phase:

This phase includes the construction of Blocks J, K, and L with 73 residential units and one commercial unit. These residential units will be built after the demolition of existing 16 residential units on Nettlecombe, 31 residential units on Ashmore, 12 residential units on Frampton and 5 residential units on Abbotsbury.

Construction works are scheduled to start in April 2018 with completion expected in September 2019.

Fourth phase:

This phase includes the construction of Block B and Block I with 38 residential units. Construction works are scheduled to start in July 2019 with completion scheduled by June 2021.

Fifth phase:



This phase includes the construction of Blocks C, D and E. Construction works are scheduled to start in July 2019 with completion scheduled by December 2020.

Sixth Phase:



    This phase includes the construction of 18 story tower on Refurbish Lulworth. Construction works are scheduled to start in June 2021 with completion scheduled by July 2024.

    Hawkins\Brown and Mae architects has been appointed as architect; Grant Associates as landscape architects; Peter Brett Associates as structural engineer; Max Fordham as services engineer; EC as as quantity surveyor, project management, cost consultant; Passivhaus Trust as technical consultant; Max Fordham as sustainability consultant; and Warm - low energy building practice as planning consultant.

    Hill Contractors has been appointed as contractor for the construction of first and second phases of a six phase project. Hill Contractors has appointed Architype as architect for first and second phases.

    In October 2014, demolition works on the project commenced and completed in 2015.

    In July 2015, construction works on the first phase commenced and are underway, while design activities on remaining phases are on-going simultaneously.
