The Kolin-Kalyon Enerji Çelikler Joint Venture Group plans to undertake the construction of a coal-fired power plant in Nallihan district, Ankara Province, Turkey.
The project involves the construction of an 800MW coal-fired plant. It includes the construction of a fuel storage unit, combustion chambers, chimneys, powerhouse, cooling units, switch yard, coal storage and washing units, and the installation of turbines and generators and the laying of transmission lines.
In August 2016, the development plans were approved by the state government.
In October 2016, tender for the privatization of Cayirhan B area was issued with a bid submission deadline of November 21, 2016.
On February 6, 2017, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Turkey (MENRT) conducted an open auction process for the privatization of Cayirhan B area.
Four companies namely Fina Enerji Holding, IC Içtas Enerji Yatirim Holding, Kolin-Kalyon Enerji-Çelikler Joint Venture Group and Limak Yatirim Enerji participated in the tender process.

Subject to approvals from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) and the Supreme Council for Privatization (SCP), the MENRT will sign the contract with the selected joint venture group and the state government will grant a 15-year power purchase guarantee on the unit price.
