Kaidi Finland (Kaidi), a subsidiary of Sunshine Kaidi New Energy Group (SKNEG), is planning to build a biodiesel refinery plant in Ajos, Kemi, Finland.
The project involves the construction of a biodiesel refinery plant with a production capacity of 225,000MTPA (616.5M3/d). It includes the construction of a processing unit, a production unit, storage tanks and related facilities, and the installation of machinery.

On October 23, 2016, Kaidi has signed a contract with the city of Kemi to acquire 32ha land, for a purchase consideration of US$27.00 million.
In December 2016, Kaidi has received tentative approval to the facility from the parent company, SKNEG.
