KaiCell Fibers Ltd (KaiCell), a joint venture between Regional Council of Kainuu and NC Capital Partners, a sister company of NC Partnering, is planning to build a biorefinery in Paltamo, Kainuu Region , Finland.
The project involves the construction of a biorefinery including a pulp mill on 178ha of land with a production capacity of 400,000 TPA to 500,000TPA. It includes the construction of production units, processing units, storage units and related infrastructure, and the installation of equipment and machinery.
CTS Engtec Oy has been appointed as study consultant for the project.
In June 2017, technical-commercial feasibility study of the project was completed.
Planning activities are underway.
The project involves the construction of a biorefinery including a pulp mill on a 178 hectares of land with a production capacity of 400,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) to 500,000TPA in Paltamo, Kainuu Region, Finland.
