KUNHWA Investor Group (KUNHWA) in a joint venture with Vietnam Technical Application Company (VATEC) is planning to undertake the construction of Tra Vinh 1 Wind Farm in Vietnam.
The project involves the construction of a 48MW wind farm with 24 wind turbines on 1,200ha of land including land used area of 377ha and water surface area of 1.209ha.
The project includes the construction of a substation, access roads and other related facilities, the installation of turbines, transformers and generators, and the laying of transmission lines.
Of the US$120 million, US$22 million fund will be secured as equity and the remaining as the debt for the project implementation.
On March 12, 2015, KUNHWA and VATEC were awarded the investment certificate by the Tra Vinh province People’s Committee and Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Woojin Construction Co.,Ltd has been appointed as construction contractor.
On May 2, 2016, a ground breaking ceremony was held.
The project is in planning stage.
The project involves the construction of a 48MW wind farm on 1,200ha of land at Truong Long Hoa and Dan Thanh communes in Duyen Hai district, Vietnam.
The US$130 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of a substation
