In April 2016, KTU and a private developer purchased Greyhound bus station for US$39 million.

On September 6, 2016, public meeting was held as part of the environmental review process.

In December 2016, a draft supplemental environmental impact report (SEIR) for the project is prepared for public review.

On May 23, 2017, San Jose City Council approved permits and environmental studies of the project.

Construction is expected to commence in July 2018 and be completed by 2020.
