Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) is planning to undertake the development of a port in Kisumu County, Kenya.

On April 1, 2015, KPA selected a consortium led by Maritime & Transport Business Solutions (MTBS) to conduct a feasibility study on the commercial and technical viability and structuring a public-private partnership (PPP) deal for the development of the project.
The project will be implemented on a build-operate-transfer basis.
As of December 2015, a feasibility study is underway.
In August 2016, the Government of Kenya allocated funds for the project.
China Road and Bridge Company (CRBC) will work as the design-build contractor. China Exim Bank will finance its construction.
The project involves the construction of a port facility in Kisumu, Kisumu County, Kenya.
