The project involves the construction of a facility that could produce more than 1million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of granulated Urea.
It includes the construction of a production unit, a packaging unit, storage space, administrative space and other related facilities.
Koch Industries selected Stamicarbon as preferred technology and services provider for new plant and KBR Inc. has been appointed as engineering consultant, procurement,construction services and construction management services; and Black & Veatch as general contractor to undertake the construction work.
On October 9, 2014, groundbreaking ceremony held at the project site.
Construction activities are underway and scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2017.
