Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) and SK E&S LNG, LLC (SK LNG), a subsidiary of SK E&S Co. Ltd, are planning to build an LNG pipeline from its Tejas mainline to an interconnection point with Freeport LNG’s pipeline located in Stratton Ridge, Texas.

The project involves the construction of a 64.3km LNG pipeline. It includes the construction of storage units, pumping stations and related facilities, and the installation of valves, compression facilities and equipment, and the laying of pipelines.

On December 8, 2014, KMI through its subsidiary Texas Intrastate Pipeline Group signed a 20-year firm transport services agreement with SK LNG to support SK LNG’s Train III liquefied natural gas facility

Construction is expected to commence in 2017 and complete by the third quarter of 2019.

Scope

The project involves the construction of a 64.3km liquefied natural gas (LNG) pipeline from the Tejas mainline to an interconnection point with Freeport LNG’s pipeline located in Stratton Ridge, Texas, the US.
