Kandiah Hydropower Pvt Ltd (KHPL), a special purpose vehicle formed by Associated Technologies Pvt. Ltd (ATL) plans to undertake the construction of a hydropower plant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

The project involves the construction of a 548MW hydro power plant. It includes the construction of a dam, substation, a powerhouse and switch yard, the installation of turbines, generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.

The project will be funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Berkeley Associates Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed as geo-technical consultant and Mirza Associates Engineering Services Pvt Ltd (MAES) as feasibility study consultant.

Feasibility study for the project was completed and approved in 2014. In 2015, TVP has submitted the reports to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) for approval.

In August 2015, KHPL submitted a petition for tariff to Nepra and awaiting approvals.

KHPL is in the process of finding the best design for the project. Simultaneously, KHPL is in negotiations with potential investors for the project implementation.

The project involves the construction of a 548MW hydroelectric power plant on Indus river in Kohistan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

The US$822 million project includes the following:
