Konsortium Asia Petrohub (KAP), a consortium formed by IMC London and VR4U Power Sdn. Bhd. is planning to build a hydrocarbon refinery complex in Yan, Kedah, Malaysia.
The project involves the construction of a refinery complex with a production capacity of 146 MTPA on 3,035ha of land to be developed in phases. It includes the construction of processing units, a production unit, an administrative facility and a distribution unit, and the installation of equipment and machinery.
In November 2016, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by IMC London, a group of bankers and funders based in Britain, and several international engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) companies including VR4U Power Sdn. Bhd and Hainan Zhenrong Energy Co. Ltd to form a consortium to fund and build at the proposed site.
