JSW Dharamtar Port Ltd (JSWDPL) is planning to expand the jetty in Dolvi, Maharashtra, India.
The project involves the expansion of a 331.5m jetty to 1,750m to increase cargo handling from 9.69 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 33.95 MTPA. It will be developed in three phases.
The first phase includes the redevelopment of material handlers, the second phase includes the construction of a 600m long jetty to the north to handle 17 MTPA of cargo, and the third phase includes the construction of new berths of 450m.
The project includes the construction of storage facilities, administrative space and related infrastructure.
The Public Hearing for the proposed expansion was conducted on May 22, 2014.
On November 26, 2015, the Ministry of Environment, India (MoE) granted environmental and coastal regulation zone (CRZ) clearance to JSWDPL for the project implementation.
Planning activities are underway.
