JG Summit Holdings, Inc (JGS) is undertaking the expansion of its petrochemical plant in Batangas, the Philippines.
The project involves the expansion of a petrochemical plant to increase production capacity from 320,000TPA to 500,000TPA. It includes the construction of production units, storage tanks and related infrastructure, and the installation of machinery and equipment.
JGS has secured funding for the project through internally generated funds and external sources.
On November 11, 2016, GTC Technology signed an agreement with JGC to provide aromatics extraction technology for the project.
JGS is in the process of obtaining regulatory approvals for the project development. Simultaneously, site preparatory works are underway. Subject to approvals and site preparatory works, main construction works will be commenced in 2018 and scheduled to be completed by 2020.
