The Brazil's National Airport Authority (Infraero) is undertaking the Eurico de Aguiar Salles Airport expansion project at Vitoria, Spirito Santo, Brazil.
The project involves the expansion of airport terminal from 4,483m2 to 28,000m2 of the area. It also includes the construction of new passenger terminal, control tower, fire station, and the expansion of the airport's runway and flight line.
The expansion will increase the passenger handling capacity at the terminal from the current 2.9 million a year to 10 million a year.
Consortium Camargo Correa, Mendes Junior and Estacon were responsible for the construction works. However, the construction activities have been put on hold from 2008 by Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU).
TCU suspended the construction contract and in July 2014, The federal government announced to launch new tender for the completion of the project.
Consortium JotaEle/Damiani/EMPO won the construction contract.
Construction activities are underway.
