Indian Strategic Petroleum Ltd (ISPRL) and Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MPNG) are undertaking the laying of crude oil pipeline in Karnataka, India.
The project involves the construction of a 48.8km crude oil pipeline from the Land Fall Point (LFP), Mangalore Port to Mangalore/Padur Cavern via intermediate valve station (IVS) for storage of crude oil.
The project includes the laying of 12.8km pipeline from LFP, Mangalore Port to Mangalore cavern and 36km from IVS to Padur Cavern.
The project also includes the construction of pumping stations, control units, storage facilities and related infrastructure, the installation of equipment and safety systems, and the laying of pipelines.
Engineers India Ltd (EIL) has been appointed as the project management consultant. Tractebel Engineering Pvt Ltd to provide detailed engineering services.
On July 11, 2014, IL&FS Engineering & Construction Company Ltd. (IL&FS) was appointed as a construction contractor.
Construction works are underway.
