The first section includes the construction of a 10.9km line from Cekmekoy, Sancaktepe to Sultanbeyli.
The second section includes the construction of a 5.7km line from Sarigazi (Hastane)-Tasdelen-Yenidogan underground rail system metro line.
The project includes the construction of 14 stations, the installation of interlocking systems, signaling systems, safety, emergency systems and the laying of a railway line.
Art Geodesign Consultancy Engineering Trd Co Inc has been awarded for deep excavation interpretation and retaining system design for six under-ground stations of the project.
In July 2014, Arup was appointed for traffic planning and the design of engineering structures.
On July 6, 2016, IMM issued tenders for the Construction and Electromechanical Systems Procurement, Installation and Commissioning Works (ESPICW) contract with a deadline of August 5, 2016 and extended to September 23, 2016.
The bid submission due date has been extended to March 3, 2017.
