Icon Energy Ltd (ICN) and Stanwell Corporation (SC) are jointly planning to undertake the construction the ATP 626 Surat Basin Gas Pipeline project in Queensland, Australia.
The project involves the laying of a 110km pipeline to connect the Lydia joint venture gas project, ATP 626, in Queensland’s Surat Basin with the APA Group’s Roma to Brisbane Gas Pipeline project.
The project will include the construction of pumping stations, storage tanks, metering units, vacuum chambers, gas compressor station and other related facilities, the installation of umbilical, manifolds, rigid jumpers and valves and cooling system.
In March 2010, ICN has accepted a proposal from Stanwell to participate in a pipeline feasibility study.
In July 2013, Stanwell Corporation terminated its joint venture agreement with ICN and withdrawn from the project.
In January 2016, ICN signed a farmin deal with the Stanwell Corporation to develop the project to connect the joint venture project’s Surat Basin tenements with the existing Queensland gas market.
