Imperial APGCL Power Ltd (IAPL) and Assam Power Generation Company Ltd (APGCL) is planning to undertake the Chandrapur Thermal Power Plant project in Kamrup, Assam, India.
The project involves the construction of a 60MW coal-fired power plant. It comprises two units of 30MW each.
The project will include the construction of a power house, a substation, cooling towers and other related infrastructure, the installation of steam turbines, a Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion (CFBC) boiler, generators, coal pulverizers and safety systems.
On August 21, 2013, MOU has been signed between IAPL and APDCL for sale of power.
IAPL will be executing the project.
On January 28, 2016, notice has been issued to IAPL regarding petition before the commission for determination of Tariff under Section 62, 63 and 86 of the Electricity Act’2003 for the project.
In June 2016, the Central Government has agreed to provide coal linkage for the project.
In September 2016, coal linkage has not been secured for the project.
Planning activities are underway.
The project involves the construction of a 60MW thermal power plant with two units of 30MW each in Chandrapur, Kamrup, Assam, India.
