The Government of Telangana (GoT) plans to build a world trade center in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
The project involves the construction of a world trade center consisting of 30- and 35-story towers. It includes the construction of conference halls, meeting rooms, parking and related facilities, and the installation of elevators, safety and security systems.
The project will be developed through a public-private partnership (PPP).
The GoT plans to tie-up with Brigade Group, which has already secured a license from World Trade Center’s Association (WTCA) for setting up a WTC in Hyderabad, along with Kochi, Thiruvanantha-puram and Chennai.
In June 2016, the project received in-principle approval from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to fund the project development.
In July 2016, the GoT is in the process of seeking a license from the WTCA.
