Hinduja Group (Hinduja) in partnership with Obrascon Huarte Lain Desarrollos (OHLD) is planning to redevelop the Old War Office Building in central London, the UK.

The project involves the redevelopment of a 53,884m2 building into hotel and residential facility. It will include the construction of a 125-bed hotel and 88 residential units encompassing the addition of three stories and extension of its basement to include a ballroom with capacity for up to 750 guests, a spa and fitness center and other related facilities.

It also includes the construction of a ballroom for 600 guests, a rooftop bar, a 25m swimming pool, wine cellars.

In January 2015, Hinduja and OHLD acquired the Old War Office building for the project implementation.

Epr architects has been appointed as the architect, QS Gardiner & Theobold as the lead consultant.

Elliott Wood has been appointed as the structural engineer and Aecom as the services engineer.

In November 2016, Epr architects submitted a planning application to the Westminster council and secured approvals in March 2017.

Design activities are underway.
