Hummingbird Resources PLC (HUM) is planning to build a hydroelectric power plant in Liberia.
The project involves the construction of a 20 to 30MW hydroelectric power plant. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a spillway, intake structures, gates, control rooms, a substation, access roads and related infrastructure, the installation of pumps, generators, turbines and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
The project study will be funded by IFC InfraVentures.
St Brides Partners Ltd and Cantor Fitzgerald Europe have been appointed as financial advisers, and Knight Piésold Consulting as study consultant.
In February 2014, Knight Piésold Consulting conducted a desk-top study for the project.
On April 7, 2015, HUM signed an agreement with IFC InfraVentures and Aldwych International to develop the project.
In August 2016, Knight Piésold, confirms the potential viability of a project.
