Health Sciences North (HSN) is planning to expand a healthcare building in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
The project involves the expansion of the Northeastern Ontario Health Centre for Kids currently housed inside the main Health Sciences North building. It includes the construction of treatment rooms, patient rooms, laboratories, a surgery unit, waiting halls, storage units and related facilities, and the installation of safety and security systems.
As of June 2015, the Northeast Local Health Integration Network, the provincial agency responsible for healthcare in northeastern Ontario, is in the process of reviewing the project plans, and will decide whether to recommend the proposal to the Ministry of Health, Ontario.
In November 2016, Manitoulin Transport has donated US$50 million for the project.
