Helse Stavanger HF (HSHF), through the installation agency Sykehusbygg HF, is undertaking the construction of a hospital in Ullandhaug, Stavanger, Norway.
The project involves the construction of a 200,000m2 hospital that will be developed in two stages of 100,000m2 of hospital facilities each.
The project includes the construction of an outpatient unit, an inpatient unit, intensive care units, an emergency unit, operating theaters, a diagnostic center, a central pharmacy, administrative facilities, a cafeteria and parking facilities, and the installation of power-related facilities.
Nordic, AART architects were appointed as the architects; COWI and Dr Ing A Aas-Jakobsen AS as consulting engineer and SLA Landscape Architects as landscape architect for the project.
In June 2015, the outline report with three alternative location proposal to develop the project was submitted to HSHF.
In January 11, 2016, Ullandhaug was selected as the location to develop the project.
Feasibility studies are underway. Construction is expected to start in 2019 and completes by 2023.
