Havilah Resources Limited (HRL) is planning to undertake the development of an iron ore mine in Mingary, South Australia, Australia.
The project involves the construction, development and operation of a surface open-pit iron ore mine and associated infrastructure on 859ha of land with a production capacity of 2.4MTPA of ore.
The project includes the construction of Cutana rail loading facility 26 km from the mine site, a pilot plant, a haul road between the project site and the railway and other related facilities.

On October 11, 2013, HRL submitted a mining lease proposal document (MLP) to the Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resource and Energy (DMITRE) and an environmental protection and rehabitation (PEPR) document was prepared to get operating approvals from DMITRE and EPA.
In 2014, hydrological studies were completed and the MLP document passed Department of State Development, South Australia (DSD) adequacy check. Subsequently, a public comment was invited.
In 2015, public comments on the Mining Lease Application were addressed and responses were considered by the DSD.
Planning activities are underway.
