Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL) is undertaking the construction of a Sainj Hydroelectric power Plant project in Himachal Pradesh, India.
The project involves the construction of a 100MW hydroelectric power plant. It developed in two units of 50MW each.
It includes the construction of a diversion barrage, a powerhouse, a substation, access roads, a headrace tunnel, two underground desilting tanks, a 4.8m D-shaped tailrace tunnel and other related facilities, and the installation of two, 50MW vertical-axis Pelton turbines, transformers, generators, and the laying of transmission lines.

In June 2010, Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC) was appointed as the EPC contractor for the project. The scope of the contract includes planning, design, engineering and execution of civil and infrastructure works of the project.
In January 2011, the project received funding from the Asian Development Bank.
In January 2015, HPPCL received Genentech Environment Award 2015 for environment management of the project.
In June 2017, construction activities on the first unit were completed and the second unit is underway.
