Heritage Property Corporation (HPC) is planning to undertake the construction of a heritage restoration project in Alberta, Canada.
The project involves the renovation of Heritage Buildings, which will be executed in two phases. The first phase will include the sensitive renovation of the historic properties and the construction of the automated parking facility (parkade) with a maximum capacity to park up to 388 vehicles. The facility will use 40% less ground area than a traditional parking structure while condensing eight levels of parking into a six-story building.
It will be the first mechanized parkade in Calgary, with a rooftop restaurant above robot-stacked cars.
The second phase will include the construction of a future office building above the parkade on a 13,192m2 area.
The project will include the construction of pedestrian way, a vehicle storage facility and related facilities, and the installation of ventilation, air conditioning, and security cameras.
In 2013, work on re-zoning the sites was carried out.
In October 2014, a planning application was submitted by HPC which was later overturned due to a neighbor refuting his traffic report.
HPC is currently waiting for approvals.
