The project involves the demolition of footbridge and diversion of footpath 24 and construction of a mixed-use community comprising one- to three-story buildings on 56.05ha of land.
It includes the construction of 924 residential homes, school, local center with retail spaces, country park, marina with a hotel, parking space and related facilities.
Andrew Martin Associates (AMA) has been appointed as architect and Stephen George & Partners and Planning and Design Group (UK) Ltd as planners.
On January 27, 2011, HLM and WD submitted the outline plans for the project.
On February 1, 2011, AMA submitted a design and access statement on the proposed plans.
On March 2, 2015, Harborough District Council approved the plans.
In June 2016, Harborough District Council granted EIA approval for further development. WD will undertake the construction works on the project.
Pre-construction works are underway.
