The Government of Mali (GoM) is planning to upgrade road in Mali.
The project involves the upgrade of a 185km-long, 7m-wide, Kwala-Mourdiah-Nara Road. It includes the construction of culverts, intersections, service roads and related facilities and the installation of safety and security systems.
On April 17, 2016, Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and GoM signed a first loan agreement of US$92.2 million for the project.
GoM signed a second agreement with BADEA for US$9.5 million, with Saudi Fund for Development for US$14 million and announced it contribution of US$7.5 million towards the implementation of the proposed plans.
The project involves the upgrade of a 185km long, 7m wide Kwala-Mourdiah-Nara Road in Mali.
The US$125 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of culverts
2. Construction of intersections
3. Construction of service roads
4. Installation of safety and security systems
