The Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) is planning to undertake the construction of Vansi Borsi Shipyard project in Gujarat, India.

GMB advised WAPCOS Ltd to prepare a revised pre-feasibility report (PFR) as a gas pipeline by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONCG) is passing through the proposed site.
In February 2017, GMB issued Request for proposal (RFP) for a legal consultant of the project.
GMB is in the process of selecting legal consultant for the project.
The project involves the development of port facilities for handling petroleum products in Surat, Gujarat, India.
The US$600 million project includes the following:
