In June 2015, GLL has received rezoning planning approval from the council.

In July 2015, the project received preliminary Tax increment financing (TIF) approval from Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA).

In April 2017, GLL is planning to apply for building permits to commence construction work.

The Gateway Commons project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex on 80.9ha of land in Owensboro, Kentucky, the US.
