The Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) is undertaking the East Quad of Grangegorman Campus project at Dublin college campus in Leinster, Ireland.

The project involves the construction of a creative industry block over an area of 16,000m2. It includes the construction of a six-story science research and incubator facility, computer rooms, musical practice and rehearsal rooms, design studios, workshops, teaching spaces, and staff offices and parking facility and the installation of safety systems.

Sheppard Robson, Mullarkey Pedersen Architects, Moore Ruble Yudell, DMOD Architects, RKD Architects have been appointed as architects and JV Tierney & Co as mechanical and electrical engineers.

Malone O'Regan as civil and structural consultants, Healy Kelly Turner & Townsend as technical consultant, Eversheds as legal advisor, AECOM Professional Services Ireland Ltd as surveyor, Horgan Lynch and Partners and Professer Brian Lawson as engineering consultant, Lutzow 7 as landscape architect, Battle McCarthy as environmental consultant, Arup Consulting Engineers as traffic consultant, Shaffrey Associates as conservation engineer.

The National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) has been appointed as procuring body acting for and on behalf of the Minister for Education & Skills and the financial advisor for the project.

On October 31, 2013, NDFA invited design-build contract notice for consortium under Public Private Partnership (PPP). Five submissions were received and three consortia have been shortlisted, namely BAM PPP; Eurigena Group and Kajima Infrared.

BAM PPP includes Ireland based BAM Building Ltd and BAM FM Ireland Ltd. Eurigena Group includes Spanish contractor FCC Construcción SA and Dublin based John Sisk & Son along with facility management service providers Mitie and Noonan Services. Kajima Infrared consists of UK based Brookfield Multiplex Construction Europe and HSG Zander Ireland Facilities Services.

On April 28, 2014, the Request for Proposal (RFP) documents was floated for the three PPP consortia with submission date as November 2014.

On March 13, 2015, Eurigena consortium was selected as a preferred bidder for the project.

Eriugena consortium comprises Macquarie Capital Group Ltd as an Equity Provider, John Sisk & Son (Holdings) Ltd and FCC Construction (Ireland) Ltd as a Construction Contractors and Sodexo Ireland Ltd, Noonan Services Group Ltd as a Facilities Management Provider(s).

On May 22, 2015, Eurigena consortium submitted planning applications to the Dublin City Council. On July 16, 2015, planning permissions were awarded for both the Central and East Quads.

In April 2017, Eurigena Group was finalized as a construction contractor.

Pre-construction works are underway. Construction works are expected to start in the first quarter of 2018 and to be completed in September 2019.
