Gassco AS (GAS) is planning to construct a gas pipeline project in Arctic, Norway.
The project involves the construction of a 42-inch gas pipeline. It also includes the construction of a 1,000km offshore pipeline, storage facilities and a pumping station and the installation of valves in pipeline and metering systems.
The proposed pipeline from Barents Sea is scheduled to be in service from 2020 which will have relatively large capacity to accommodate gas of high volumes.
GAS commenced the feasibility study of the pipeline in the third quarter of 2011.
The final investment decision is to be taken in the first quarter of 2018.
