Summary

Fuxing Huiyu Real Estate Co Ltd (FHRECL), through its subsidiary Starryland Australia, is undertaking the development of a residential project on Morton Street in New South Wales, Australia.

The project involves the construction of 10 multi-story buildings ranging from three-twelve stories each on a 5ha of land, in total comprising 774 residential units to be developed in stages.

The first stage involves the construction of three towers featuring 277 residential units which comprises of 60 one-bedroom apartments from 44 to 62m2, 209 two-bedroom apartments from 62 to 99m2 and 8 three-bedroom apartments from 99 to 112m2. Other than four of the one-bedroom apartments, they all have up to two secure car spaces, as well as 70 shared visitor parking spaces. The first two buildings comprise 124 apartments and third building with 153 apartments.

The second stage includes three seven-story and one eight-story mixed-use buildings. The third stage includes two 12-story and one seven-story mixed-use buildings. The second and third stages of the development are planned to include residential and commercial amenities.

The project also includes the construction of two roads with access points on Broughton and Morton Streets, a foreshore road, a foreshore cycle path linking the existing and proposed Council cycle paths, a boardwalk and a river platform.

Urbis Pty Ltd has been appointed as lead consultant to undertake planning and development activities, Brown Consulting as the traffic consultant, Smart Design Studio as the design consultant, ASPECT Studios as the landscape architect, Savills Residential Projects as the marketing consultant, Probuild Constructions as the design-build contractor on first phase, Wilken Service Pty Ltd and NOS Group Electrical Contractors as the electrical contractors, Gallagher Jeffs Consulting as the consultant for second and third phase, Turner Studio as the design consultant for the second third phase of the project, Scape Design Pty. Ltd. is appointed as the landscape architect.

On June 25, 2014, construction activities on two towers of the first stage of the project commenced and in May 2014, sales were completed on 124 apartments of the first stage.

In August 2014, sales on third tower of the first stage with 153 apartments were commenced and 115 apartments were sold.

In May 2015, demolition on second stage of the project was commenced.

In February 2016, Probuild Constructions was appointed as contractor for second and third stages of the project.

In March 2016, construction works on the second and third stages commenced.

In June 2016, construction works on the first stage were completed.

Construction works on the second and third stages are underway and expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2018.
