It include the construction of four gas-fired turbines in combination with two steam turbines, substation, a powerhouse, gas storage tanks and related infrastructure facilities, the installation of four gas-fired turbines, two steam turbines, transformers, generators, and the laying of transmission lines.
In November 2013, PFN and FE entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop the project.
In January 2014, PFN and FE submitted a planning application to Alberta Electric System Operator.
