Eustream AS (Eustream) is planning to build a natural gas pipeline from the Slovakia-Ukraine border to the Bulgaria-Turkey border.
The project involves the construction of pipeline of length between 832km-1,015km with an estimated capacity of 20 billion m3 per annum in two phases. It includes the construction of storage tanks, pumping units and control junctions and the installation of valves, control systems, safety systems and power-related facilities.
In October 2016, Bulgaria and Slovakia have signed an agreement to provide joint financing for the project.
In November 2016, Eustream submitted an application for European Commission’s grant from Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) fund to co-finance feasibility study. The feasibility study will define the technical details of the project including the possible routing options and will serve as basis for the final investment decision on the project.
On May 12, 2017, European Union’s Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) and Eustream signed agreement to receive EU grant for the feasibility study needed.
