Next Energy de México, S.A. de C.V. is developing the El Durangueno Renewable Power Complex project on El Durangueño, in Canatlán municipality, Durango, Mexico.
The project involves the construction of wind and solar plants with a combined capacity of 180MW on a 2,000ha area. It includes the construction of substations, access roads and related infrastructure, and the laying of transmission lines.
The project will be financed by the Mexican state-owned bank, Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior (Bancomext), and European banks.
Engineering ARRAM, ASIENER has been appointed as turnkey contractor and AORA SOLAR was appointed as turnkey contractor for the solar plant.
The project was initiated in February 2013.
Pre-construction activities are underway.
