Enbridge Inc. (Enbridge) is undertaking the New Creek Wind Farm project in West Virginia, the US.

The project involves the construction of a 103MW wind farm, with 49 wind turbines on 11km stretch of New Creek Mountain.

The project includes the construction of a substation, a powerhouse, an operation and maintenance building and related infrastructure, the installation of electric feeder system, wind electric converters and power controlling systems and the laying of transmission lines.

The turbines are expected to run on a seven-mile stretch of ridgeline near Greenland in northern Grant County.

On November 25, 2015, Enbridge acquired the project from EverPower for US$200 million.

On November 26, 2015, Gamesa appointed as turbine supply contractor for the project.

On September 20, 2016, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) accepted the three filings by New Creek Wind LLC for authorization to make wholesale sales of electric capacity, energy, and ancillary services at market-based rates.

In the first quarter of 2016, construction works commenced and are underway.
