Eidsiva Hydropower AS (Eidsiva) and Oppland Energi AS (Oppland) is undertaking the construction of a hydroelectric power plant in Gudbrandsdalen, Norway.
The project involves the construction of an 80MW hydroelectric power plant. It includes the construction of a 15,000m3 concrete dam, 5km of tunnels, a 4.1km headrace tunnel, an underground power house complex, three turbines, and related infrastructure, the installation of generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
On September 26, 2014, Eidsiva awarded a US$64 million engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Skanska AB.
In October 2014, construction works commenced.
In November 2014, Rainpower ASA awarded supply contract to delivery of three Francis turbines, including the main shut-off valves, turbine, Penstocks, bypass system and associated mechanical equipment.
Construction activities are underway.
