US EcoGen Clay LLC ( (EcoGen), a wholly own subsidiary of US EcoGen LLC, is planning to construct the biomass power plant in Florida, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 66MW biomass power plant. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation and a warehouse, the installation of turbines, transformer and generators and the laying of transmission lines.
In December 2012, EcoGen signed a 30 year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Florida Power & Light Company (FPL).
In April 2013, EcoGen secured approvals for PPA with FPL from Florida Public Service Commission (PSC).
Ecogen is expecting to secure financing for the project in 2017.
The project is expected to be completed by 2019.
