The East Line Group is undertaking the expansion of Domodedovo international airport in Moscow, Russia.
The project involves the construction of the passenger terminals (T1, T2, and T3), redevelopment of air traffic control tower, a new runway, the installation of a new operational and management technology systems and the construction of related facilities.
The implementation of the long-term development plan is planned until 2020 including the construction of runways, the further expansion of passenger terminal facilities operated by the reconstruction and new construction with the development of an especially reserved area of 13,000ha.
The construction works on the Terminal T1 were undertaken by local construction contractor Strabag and MNR Bau und Bauberatungs Gez.m.b.H. RMJM was appointed as a FEED Contract for Terminal 2.
RMJM, a lead architect on Terminal 2 of Domodedovo international airport project is no longer involved with the project, and ZAO Ramboll is selected as the architect for the project.
ANTTEQ, a subsidiary of Ant Yap has been appointed as EPC contractor for Terminal 2
Maltsovsky Portlandcement is part of Eurocement Group has been appointed as the cement supply contract for the project.
In 2011, SU-1, a subsidiary of MDC group, won the first competition for the reconstruction of the runway-1.
In June 2014, Stroitelnoye Upravleniye-1( SU-1) (Construction Management-1) was awarded as the EPC contractor for a new runway, which will replace the existing runway-2 in Domodedovo.
In August 2014, construction works commenced on the second terminal.
In October 2014, construction works commenced on a new runway and expected to be completed by December 2016.
In April 2015, Domodedovo has completed the work to verify the readiness for the opening and putting into operation after the reconstruction of the sector E of the passenger terminal T-1 airport.
In May 2015, the sector-E of terminal T-1 opened for passengers.
In July 2015, construction on the new runway is underway. After completion, a second runway will convert into the main taxiway.
In April 2017, the project received construction approvals from the Federal Air Transport Agency for the third terminal.
Construction activities are underway on the T-2 terminal and design activities on the third terminal are underway.
