Eólica Rionegrina SA (ERSA), a joint venture of Invap SE (Invap) and Transcomahue SA are undertaking the Rio Negro Wind Farm 20MW in Rio Negro, Argentina.

The project involves the construction of a wind farm with a generating capacity of 65MW, powerhouse and a substation, turbine base, and the installation of 25 wind turbines, a generator and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.

The project is being developed in two phases, the first phase is with the generating capacity of 15MW and the second phase of 50MW.

Dow Argentina has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Invap SE to develop the study report for the project.

In May 2017, Powerchina and ERSA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), as per the agreement, the Chinese group will be responsible for financing the construction, the implementation of the Wind Farm and will take all possible measures for the operation and maintenance of the park.
