Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (EPD) is undertaking the construction of a Crude Oil Terminal project in Houston, Texas, the US.
The project involves the construction of a crude oil storage facility on 61ha of land. It includes the construction of storage tanks, two pipelines of 24-inch diameter and other related infrastructure facilities.
The Initial storage capacity of the facility will be dedicated to the operation of the new pipelines handling flow from the Eagle Ford Shale and further the facility is expected to be expanded to accommodate production volumes from offshore and Canadian sources. The project will be developed in phases.
Crude oil will be delivered to the Enterprise Crude Houston facility through the partnership’s Rancho Pipeline, located approximately 5km northwest of the new facility.
EPD in-house division is undertaking the construction works on the project.
In November 2012, The initial phase of Houston Crude Oil Terminal got completed.
Construction works on the second phase are underway and scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of 2017.
