E.J Cooper and Son (EJC), a subsidiary of Baiada Group, is planning to undertake the construction of a mixed-use complex in New South Wales, Australia.
The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex on 280ha of land. It includes the construction of a 340,000m2 research & development center, laboratories, distribution centers, an administrative building, 3,400 residential units, a University building, 100,000m2 of education floor area and student accommodation, an office building, commercial space, parking area and other related facilities.
The park will accommodate the new Baiada National Headquarters, Baiada National Food Science Laboratories and Research Facility and University of Sydney Poultry Research Foundation.
In February 2014, Penrith Council approved the project and forwarded the application to the Department of Planning and Infrastructure (DPI)
In December 2016, the project received preliminary planning approvals from the Department of Planning and Environment.
Celestino Pty Limited (Celestino) has been appointed as associated developer for the project.
Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp Pty Ltd (FJMT Architects) has been appointed as architects, Urbis and Arup Ltd as a planner, Cardno Ltd as concept constraints planner, Steensen Varming and Tuner & Townsend as consulting engineer, Elephants Foot as an environmental consultant and ACOR Consultants as design consultants.
In March 2017, Celestino signed an agreement with Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) to develop the STEM-Focused School.
In July 2017, a development application was submitted to the council for the first lot of the development– a seven-storey commercial building called the Baiada building which contains 10,200m2 of residential space.
