EDP Renewables Canada Ltd (EDPR) in venture with the Nation Rise Wind Farm Ltd (NR) is planning to build a wind farm in the North Stormont, Ontario, Canada.
The project involves the construction of a 100MW wind farm. It includes the construction of a substation, a powerhouse and related facilities, the installation of transformers and 30 wind turbines, and the laying of transmission lines.
DNV GL has been appointed as an environmental consultant.
On July 14, 2015, a public community meeting was held to discuss the proposed plans.
On September 1, 2015, EDPR and NR announced plans to submit a proposal to the IESO.
