Essar Bulk Terminal Ltd (EBTL), a subsidiary of Essar Groups, plans to expand the terminal in Hazira, Gujarat, India.
The project involves the expansion of the Hazira terminal capacity from 30MTPA to 50MTPA. It includes the construction of storage facilities, administrative block, warehouses and related infrastructure.
The project also includes construction of 1,100m long berth to increase the existing berth length from 550m to 1,650m an dredging of 8.8km long and 300m wide channel at the mouth of the river Tapi by excavating around 80 million cubic metre of silt from the river.
In July 2017, Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) has been appointed as the associate developer.
The project involves the expansion of the Hazira terminal capacity from 30 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 50MTPA in Gujarat, India.
